Tuna Patties


Tuna Patties 




I made this recipe per dad’s request because he found this on Facebook. It seemed pretty easy so I went ahead and cooked some for our family dinner. It was fun to make and amazed that with just 2 cans of tuna you can produce a more delicious, not to mention plenty, kind of dish. 



Recipe for Tuna Patties

Ingredients:

• 2 cans of Tuna (180g each) drained

• 1/2 cup Carrots - shredded or minched

• 1/4 cup Green Onions - chopped

• 1/4 - 1/2 cup Green Peas

• 1 tsp Salt (adjust if needed)

• 1/2 tsp Pepper

• 1/2 tsp Paprika

• 2 tsp Garlic Powder

• 2 eggs

• 2 cups Breadcrumbs, and extra for coating





Instructions: 

1. Drain the canned tune using a strainer. In a bowl, add all the ingredients together. Using a spatula or your clean bare hands, mix the ingredients altogether.

2. Form the patties into round shapes like a regular mini patty then coat each gently with breadcrumbs. 

3. In a Skillet frying pan, add oil. Oil must just be enough and will not drown the whole patty. It does not need to be deep fried. 

4. Add the patties one by one and fry on each side until golden brown. 

5. Place cooked tuna patties on a plate and this is served best with a mayo garlic dressing or whatever sauce you would prefer.
